Honey Mustard Asparagus – Lazy & Tasty Greens
Recipe Type: Appetizer
Author: Grill Dome Admin
This is almost too simple to call a “recipe,” but I have no shame. It produces a simple and tasty asparagus side dish. I imagine it would work fine with sliced zucchini or most other grilled vegetables.
Ingredients
  • 1 lb. fresh asparagus tips
  • ½ Cup (or so), Brianna’s Honey Mustard dressing, or your favorite salad dressing
Instructions
  1. Preheat GD to medium/hot. You can cook this dish in the last few minutes of a steak cook or spatchcock chicken cook if the dome is at about 350-425 or so. You’ll put the asparagus on direct, on the main grid. They’ll take around eight minutes to cook, so try to time them so they come off the grill shortly before the food is to be served.
  2. Wash asparagus. Trim each stalk by bending and breaking off the lower, tough portion of the stalk (discard these lower ends or compost them). Toss asparagus with enough dressing to generously coat each stalk. Place asparagus on the grill perpendicular to the grill pattern so they don’t fall through the grill (better yet, use some kind of grilling basket). After they develop significant char marks, push the stalks over to rotate them, and allow new char marks to form. Then remove them from the grill before they wilt. If one or two of the smaller ones start to wrinkle up, it’s time to get them off the grill.
