This recipe if part of our Game Day Starters playlist on the Grill Dome YouTube Channel. “Moink Balls” are bacon-wrapped meatballs, so you take “Moo” plus “Oink” and you come up with “Moink” 🙂  Moink Balls are incredible easy to make, quick to prepare and only take about 1 – 1 1/2 hours on your Grill Dome.  This recipe is a cheap and easy way to satisfy a bunch of your friends at your next get together. The recipe is below as well as a video from start to finish.  Enjoy!

Ingredients:

Frozen Italian meatballs
Bacon
BBQ rub
BBQ sauce
Toothpicks or small wood skewers

Partially thaw out the meatballs (just for a minute or so in the microwave). Wrap each meatball in a piece of bacon, secure with a toothpick and then sprinkle some of your favorite BBQ rub on top. Set up your Grill Dome for an indirect heat cook and preheat to somewhere between 225° – 250° with a chunk or two of smoke wood on top of of lump charcoal pile. Once the Grill Dome is preheated, toss the Moink Balls on and smoke for anywhere between 1 – 1.5 hours. You’re looking for the bacon to get nice and brown. 10-15 minutes before they’re done, baste them with your favorite BBQ sauce.
