I made some ribs, over the weekend, which were pure fabulous. Smoked hickory and apple mix 3/2/1 basting the last hour with a sauce I haven’t made in years. Thought I’d take the time to share as they were tasty. Try it, it’s good with both chicken and pork.
Ingredients
  • Canned (32 oz) Peaches
  • 1-1/2 Cup Vinegar
  • 1 Cup Cooking Oil
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 Cup Maple Syrup
  • 3 Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 2 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Cup ketchup
  • Red food coloring (only if you must have red sauce)
  • garlic (To Taste)
  • red peppers (To Taste)
  • Salt and Pepper (To Taste)
Instructions
  1. Puree peaches in a blender. Dissolve cornstarch in a little water. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a low boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Allow to cool.
