Ricks Sauce

A great finishing sauce!
  • 1 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Cup Apple Cider or Juice
  • 2 – 8oz cans of Tomato Sauce (or 1-15oz can)
  • 1 – small can of Tomato Paste
  • 2/3 Cup chopped fresh Onion
  • 1/2 Cup Worcestershire Sauce
  • 6 Tbsp Butter (use Land-O-Lakes real butter – lite version)
  • 2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tsp Black Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1/2 tsp Louisiana Hot Sauce
  • 2 Cups Light Brown Sugar (packed)
  1. Mix all the ingredients into a large sauce-pan and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat to low and allow to simmer for one hour. Remove from heat and set aside until needed. This sauce is a little tangy when sipped from a spoon, but tastes absolutely wonderful when applied and cooked with the ribs as a finishing sauce the last 30 minutes.
