Independence Day Rib Slather |

Use with “Independence Day Ribs”
Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
- ½ Cup finely chopped Vidalia (Sweet) Onions
- 4 Cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 (8 oz) Cans Tomato Sauce
- 2 Cup Light Brown Sugar, Packed
- 1 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 Cup Apple Juice
- 2 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1 tsp Dry Mustard
- 2 tsp Freshly Ground Black Powder
- ½ tsp Louisiana Hot Sauce
Instructions
- Melt the Butter in a 2-1/2 qt saucepan over medium heat. Add the Onion and cook until the onion is wilted about four minutes. Add the garlic and cook another 2 minutes.
- Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Keep the sauce warm for service.
