I made some ribs, over the weekend, which were pure fabulous. Smoked hickory and apple mix 3/2/1 basting the last hour with a sauce I haven’t made in years. Thought I’d take the time to share as they were tasty. Try it, it’s good with both chicken and pork.
Ingredients
- Canned (32 oz) Peaches
- 1-1/2 Cup Vinegar
- 1 Cup Cooking Oil
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
- 3/4 Cup Maple Syrup
- 3 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 2 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 2 Tbsp Cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Cup ketchup
- Red food coloring (only if you must have red sauce)
- garlic (To Taste)
- red peppers (To Taste)
- Salt and Pepper (To Taste)
Instructions
- Puree peaches in a blender. Dissolve cornstarch in a little water. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a low boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Allow to cool.
