An easy way to take a staple Italian dish like lasagna to the next level is adding a bit of smokey flavor by baking it on the Grill Dome.  Depending on the size of the crowd you’ll be serving, you can add extra layers or make a double batch of this recipe to feed more.  Full recipe and video below.  Enjoy!

1 lb ground beef
1 jar spaghetti sauce
16 oz ricotta cheese
1 package of mozzarella slices cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 package no boil lasagna noodles
Basil, oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper

Brown the hamburger meat and sprinkle in some garlic powder, salt and pepper. for flavoring. Once the meat has browned, drain fat then add spaghetti sauce and let simmer for a few more minutes. Take off heat and set aside.

Next, layer the lasagna like this:

Thin layer of spaghetti sauce
Noodles
1/2 container of ricotta cheese
1/2 meat sauce
Basil and oregano
Mozzarella slices
Noodles
Last half of ricotta cheese
Rest of meat sauce

Preheat Grill Dome to 350° – 375° and bake lasagna for 45 min to 1 hour, depending on the thickness of your lasagna. The last 15 minutes before it is done, sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top and allow to cook until bubbly and slightly golden brown. Pull and let rest for 10 – 15 minutes before serving.
