Basked Whiskey Mascarpone Apples |

A rich apple surprise! This is a must try dessert.
Ingredients
- Apples – Part cored
- Pecans Chopped Fine
- Brown Sugar
- Butter pats, 1 per Apple
- Whiskey
- Mascarpone Cheese, 1 Dollop per Apple
Instructions
- I made a wonderful winter dessert over the weekend. I cored some apples but left the bottom part of the core intact. Next I stuffed them with a mixture of chopped pecans and brown sugar and put a pat of butter on top of each apple. Put them in a pan w/ a little bit of water and a big health douse of Whiskey over all apples. Cooked them on the grill set at about 350 for 1 hr and threw a small handful of applewood chips on.
- I served them with some simple syrup-dried fruit concoction I had left over from another dessert, and a dollop of mascarpone cheese.
