Here is a tasty tempeh recipe to try out on your Grill Dome! Tempeh is a great meat substitute and this recipe is sure to hit the spot! Enjoy!
1 lb tempeh
1/2 green bell pepper
1/2 red bell pepper
1/2 sweet onion
Blackening seasoning
Buffalo sauce
Sliced provolone cheese
Hoagie rolls
Steam or lightly boil tempeh for 5 min or so in order to soften and reduce some of the distinct bitterness. Pat dry with paper towels the sprinkle blackening seasoning on all sides.
Preheat Grill Dome to 375° – 400° over direct heat, using a cast iron or stainless steel griddle. Saute onions and peppers for 6-8 min and blacken tempeh for about the same time. Lightly toast some hoagie rolls on the grill as well.
Once the tempeh and veggies are done, toss the tempeh in buffalo sauce. Add the tempeh and veggies to hoagie rolls, topping with leftover buffalo sauce and provolone cheese. Broil for about 30 seconds in the oven for nice brown, bubbly cheese! Serve and enjoy!
