This is a quick and easy recipe for searing yellowfin tuna that is healthy, tasty and easy to both prep and cook on the Grill Dome kamado.
Black Pepper Yellowfin Tuna Recipe:
Sushi grade tuna of your choice (I used Yellowfin)
Course ground black pepper (or you can use sesame seeds…)
Oil (canola or vegetable)
Preheat the Grill Dome to around 500° – 600° over direct heat. Once the Dome is preheated, wipe the cooking grate down with some oil (vegetable or canola works well) then sear each side of the tuna steaks for anywhere between 45 seconds and 1 minute. Slice, drizzle with the sauce below and serve. Enjoy!
Creamy Soy Ginger Sauce Recipe:
1 cup mayonnaise
3 Tbsp white wine vinegar
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
3 Tbsp table sugar
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp minced ginger root
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp black pepper
Mix all ingredients together until nice and creamy and set aside in fridge to thicken up a bit.
