Here’s the Grill Dome Presidential Dads Burger Recipe.
  • 3 pounds of ground beef (not super lean, but not fatty either, maybe 90/10)
  • Yellow Mustard
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • Dried Minced Onions
  • Kosher Salt
  • Freshly cracked pepper
  • 6 strips of bacon
  1. Put meat in a large bowl. Partially cook the six pieces of bacon in the microwave. You are not looking for “done” bacon, just giving it a head start. Cool the bacon, cut into small pieces, add to the meat in the bowl. Squirt a healthy amount of the mustard on the meat. I promise you will not taste mustard in the final product, but it does add a lot of moisture. Next, add about 6-8 squirts of the Worcestershire Sauce. Then, sprinkle a 1-1.5 tablespoons of dried minced onions onto the mixture (I don’t really measure). Add a couple of tablespoons of water, a couple of heavy pinches of kosher salt and 6-10 grinds of freshly cracked pepper. then don some latex gloves. Use your hands to mix the meat mixture thoroughly. If you have a kitchen scale, make the patties approximately 6 oz. and flat, pressing a “dimple” in the middle with your thumb (helps it cook more evenly and not puff up). Put on your ‘dome at 450 5 min/side for medium. Add cheese of your choice during the last two minutes. Enjoy! Makes 8 burgers (just enough for a package of buns).
